University of Hull welcomes next generation of workspace for businesses

AuraFlex is now open at the University of Hull’s Aura Innovation Centre offering flexible collaborative workspace to businesses, but not as you know it!

A new flexible collaborative workspace offering businesses a whole new way of working has opened at the University of Hull’s Aura Innovation Centre (A(C) at Bridgehead Business park.

In a business landscape where collaboration drives innovation AuraFleX has been designed to do just that. The flexible workspace, powered by Lampada Digital Solutions, has been cleverly put together with collaboration in mind. AuraFlex offers businesses the chance to be part of a thriving community to collaborate, connect and create new opportunities with like-minded individuals.

AuraFleX offers flexible, easy in and out terms for as little as 1 month and offers a wide range of services including free onsite parking, access to free bookable meeting rooms available for 2 – 10 people with AV and hybrid capabilities, free superfast broadband and staffed reception to welcome clients and visitor. The modern design provides different areas for co-working with long benches and comfy sofa areas with white boards, private meeting space for sensitive and private meetings and a designated quiet zone for more thought-provoking work. Tenants also receive a reduced hire rate on the AIC’s state-of-the-art event space.

Sarah Clark, Head of Operations at the AIC said since opening, AuraFleX already has a dynamic mix of tenants ranging from teams of two up to ten.

“Based on Bridgehead Business Park, just off the A63, it’s an ideal location for our businesses to arrange client and visitor meetings as it has such good transport links across Hull, connecting to the Southbank and across East Riding and the rest of the UK. Being based on one of the UK’s greenest business parks also means that we are able to provide our tenants with free EV parking, secured bike stores and access to showers and changing facilities for those wanting a greener route to work.”

“At the AIC our purpose is to support and connect businesses and it is great to see such a varied mix of businesses coming together under one roof. Those water cooler moments are vital for businesses to collaborate and grow.”

Andy Parkinson, CEO of Lampada said,

“being part of the AuraFleX community provides businesses with the unique opportunity to connect with the research power of the University of Hull. All AuraFleX tenants are given the exclusive opportunity to work with the innovation team at the AIC to develop their low carbon ideas by accessing cutting-edge facilities available within the AIC’s InventX innovation space and being linked in with academia.”

Dan Crook, Creative Director, Enjoy Travel said their team moved to AuraFleX because they wanted a flexible shared office space rather than something permanent.

“AuraFleX was by far the better option for us within the local region mainly because of location, flexibility and convenience.” Dan said “AuraFlex gives us everything we need from a shared office; great staff, great facilities, great modern open-plan working space, meeting rooms and breakout areas. Everyone is friendly and considerate.”

Whether you’re a solo entrepreneur looking to feel part of a community, a small start-up looking for a cost effective flexible workspace where you can impress new clients, or a larger team looking to come together for your monthly team meeting, AuraFleX is the place for you.
