Aura aims to enhance the UK’s reputation as renewable energy leader, and to support the country’s growth ambitions - helping to maintain its competitive edge.
Aura has helped a variety of businesses in the UK in the last few years through providing pathways to innovation to help build a forward-thinking, unrivalled and vibrant supply chain whilst delivering economic value, through both job creation and local investment.
We are developing a sustainable supply chain built on applied cutting-edge research, knowledge and experience, whilst building the skills and capability of a wider range of SMEs in the Humber region. With the growth rate of offshore wind in the UK and associated low-carbon economy, now supported by the Offshore Wind Sector Deal, we want to ensure local companies can take advantage of the diversification and growth opportunities it will offer. Not just in the short term, but for future generations.
Through the Aura Innovation Centre, we are engaging with SMEs directly to raise awareness of the opportunities in the growing offshore wind sector, facilitating conversations in how they can supply tier 1, 2 and 3 suppliers, plus, deliver an events programme designed to inspire, inform and educate SMEs to spot opportunities, grow networks and build their knowledge.
Aura is working collaboratively with its partners to deliver a wide range of training and educational programmes, designed to boost the skills of employees and develop creative and innovative leaders to help keep Britain at the forefront of offshore wind.
