Meet the new Aura Innovation Centre team at Ørsted’s Hornsea Project Two Supply Chain Event

Our new team for the Aura Innovation Centre, part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, will be exhibiting at the upcoming Ørsted Supply Chain Event on Wednesday 14 November 2018 at the Magna Science Adventure Centre, Rotherham. The event will provide an opportunity for delegates to network with suppliers from within the Humber region and beyond.

The Ørsted Hornsea Project Two Supply Chain Event is part of their commitment to supporting the development of a sustainable, globally competitive, UK-based supply chain for both domestic projects as well as the growing worldwide export opportunity. Ørsted are bringing businesses together from across the UK to highlight open business opportunities. Delegates will meet Ørsted’s team and contracted Tier 1 suppliers, including Balfour Beatty, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and VolkerInfra. There is capacity for up to five hundred UK businesses to attend the event.

Notes – Aura has secured major funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of £4 million to build the Aura Innovation Centre (AIC).

Supported by a further £2.5 million from Green Port Hull and £5.5 million match funding from the University of Hull, the Centre, which will be built at Bridgehead near the Humber Bridge, will provide a focus for business to drive innovation through collaboration in the low-carbon energy sector. Construction on the AIC will commence towards the end of 2018 with completion by December 2019. The development and presence of the AIC in the Humber region will strengthen the region’s international standing as the centre of excellence for innovation in the renewable energy sector.
