About this event

What makes a good networking event?  How do we reach the greatest number of women?  What role can a network play in empowering Humber women?

We need your insight in answering these questions and many more.

So bring a brew and join us for the first meeting of the Humber Women’s Network.

This is your chance to help us to build the network from the ground up, with women at all levels sharing their experiences and showcasing the value that individual women (and our collective of Humber women) bring to the region.

At this first online meeting, we want to know what this group can offer you and how its activity can be shaped by your views.  From event format questions (‘Do you like hearing from inspirational speakers?’) to practical considerations (‘Is it easier to attend events in the morning, afternoon or evening?’), our first meeting will set the strategy for what comes next.

Is this network for me?

This group is ideal for women at any stage of their career who are hoping to inspire and be inspired by their peers, expand their professional connections and meet new people. In particular, we are keen to reach women who may be returning to the workforce after a career break, women who are looking to start in a new direction or those just beginning their careers.

I can’t make it, but I’m interested.

No problem. We’re also planning to host an in-person meeting on Thursday 5th May at a venue to be confirmed in Hull City Centre . The format of the event will be agreed at our first network meeting, with the time and location to be confirmed at the same time. Save the date!
