Innovation is essential for sustainable growth and economic development, and is needed by our region now more than ever.  Innovation can transform businesses and regions, leading to increased productivity, new market opportunities and lower operating costs.

The University of Hull has a track record of supporting the growth, resilience and innovation of businesses and the regional economy.  Our ERDF-funded Innovation Centres support businesses of all sizes, helping them to create new projects in low carbon and flood resilience. We connect these businesses with the research power at the University of Hull, combined with access to cutting edge equipment, expert advice and funding.

The Aura Innovation Centre helps businesses to realise low-carbon projects, drive green innovation and deliver clean business growth, connecting them with academics to develop carbon-reducing ideas across all sectors. Working together to accelerate and de-risk innovation and maximise commercial returns.

The Flood Innovation Centre builds on the University’s experience in flood related research to help businesses develop innovative services, processes and products in flood resilience.
