Businesses today are both contributors and solution-providers to air pollution and have a key role to play in the reduction of pollutants into the air. Many business activities cause emissions, from manufacturing processes to transportation fleets, and it is now a corporate responsibility for businesses to start taking proactive steps to address their contribution to air pollution. We also need to provide and maintain healthy, low-carbon workplace environments for the benefit of both employees and the planet.
In this session we will be joined by University of Hull Researcher, Linda Whicker, who will discuss Carbon Mapping for businesses – what is it, what benefits it brings and how it can be used to lower your carbon emissions. We will also be joined by Dr Fernando Correira, who will talk about environment, society and governance and what it means to your business. We will also hear from Kathryn Sowerby, LEVEL Systems Ltd, who will outline how her business helps others to monitor and improve their workplace environments, and potentially reduce both energy and costs.
