CASE STUDIES

We’re busy building up our portfolio to show how businesses are working alongside the University of Hull, to accelerate their innovation ambitions and reduce carbon emissions.

New technologies to manage Black Grass

Working with 5 local farmers, the Aura Innovation Centre is working to reduce the carbon footprint of black grass management. Currently a major problem facing cereal growers in the UK, experts at the University of Hull are exploring new technologies and best practice to come up with improved solutions in keeping black grass at bay.

Project results to be published around March 2021. A detailed report will also be available containing the full results of the project to show all undertakings active in the agricultural and forestry sector or sub sector concerned upon request and free of charge.

Lead academic: Dr Sarah Shaw, Senior Lecturer in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Faculty of Business, Law and Politics – Hull University Business School.
